๐ A Valentineโs For You ๐
You will heat up the โwokโ of my heart if you print these out and gift them to me on our upcoming date!
On a more serious note, Iโve been trying to enjoy the joy of trying, learning, and failing, and picking myself up again. These collages are quite silly, but Iโve been trying to create more without pressure to be perfect.
I did not major in graphic design/communications, but Iโve always loved learning and creating art from a young age. Around college/post college, I put my creativity on the shelf because I felt that there was no use in trying if I wasnโt โgoodโ (coincidentally, I was quite depressed lol). However, Iโve realized this is an incredibly limiting philosophy on art and just life in general. Iโm tired of giving up on things that I canโt achieve on the first go because it leaves me stuck in the closet of an imagined perfection.
This year, Iโm granting myself permission to nurture new and old passions, and grow at my own pace, and I hope my valentines encourage you to be kind to yourself, pursue your passions regardless of how old you may feel, and enjoy the process of experimentation and learning.
